PROCESSThe process fluids category includes fluids that are normally transferred between different sites (Midstream), which are obviously also involved at the beginning and end of the refining processes, as well as intermediate fluids contained in the various refining phases carried out within the plant (Downstream).

Bitumen

Crude oil or bitumen transfer pumps installed inside the refining plant. They may have steam jackets (especially following pre-heating) and feature operating temperatures up to 150 ?C.
They are also used to transfer post-desalination crude oil towards the distillation plant. Self-priming.
